Cotton’s Corner – was given the name from Henry Cotton, who was responsible for raising the status of the professional golfer, Cotton won the British Open three times – at Sandwich in 1934, Carnoustie in 1937 and Muirfield in 1948. The Dunlop 65 golf ball was named after his memorable round at Sandwich. Cotton died in 1987 days before being knighted, Sir Henry Cotton. Sir Henry Cotton opened Letham Grange Golf course in 1987 and Donald Steel designed it.
