Fettercairn – One of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Here you will discover the traditional scotch whisky distilling techniques. Here, you will step back in time and see how farming, barley-growing and whisky have gone hand-in-hand for generations.

Little has changed since the first spirit was distilled here, in this tiny village near Scotland’s north-east coast.

Fettercairn 1824 single malt whisky is matured in oak casks on earthen floors. It has a character which gives it a nutty, spicy quality enjoyed by whisky connoisseurs the world over.

This is found just off the A90 at the junction for Fettercairn.

Open from Easter until the end of September.

Monday to Saturday 10am – 5pm (last tour 4 pm)

The Experience Tour – See how the Glenturret single malt is made before learning how to marry the whiskies to make Scotland’s favourite whisky.

Approx 60 mins.

The Malt Tasting Tour – After the Experience Tour test your taste buds by sampling some of the malts.

Approx 70 mins.

The Distillery Tour – See and learn how we make the single malt at Scotland’s oldest distilleries.

Approx 30 mins.

The distillery is nestled in the heart of scenic Perthshire countryside, just outside Crieff. This distillery received their licence in 1775. This allowed them to make and sell their whisky.

Open March – December, 9am – 6pm / January & February, 10am – 4.30pm
